Staff Instructions
Author
- Open Publisher and sign in with the authorized personal GitHub account.
- Create or edit an item and begin with draft.
- Save, inspect the staging preview, correct the item, then set it to review.
- Notify the pastor; saving never publishes directly.
Import ChatGPT Text
- Ask ChatGPT to convert the PDF or Word document into a text-only
.mdfile with no YAML frontmatter or HTML. - Open Import ChatGPT Text, authorize GitHub, upload the Markdown, and select the correct content type.
- Review all metadata, theology, Scripture references, quotations, rights, audience, and confidentiality before saving.
- Keep Draft selected for ordinary review, or choose Scheduled, enter a future congregation-visibility date and time, and name the pastoral reviewer.
- The importer saves only to
content-staging. Scheduling still requires the approved merge, selected time, and a later production rebuild.
Reviewer
- Open the standing Content staging → production pull request in GitHub Mobile.
- Review theology, exegesis, Scripture references, audience, applications, quotations, rights, confidentiality, and attachments in the rendered preview.
- Request corrections or record approval in the pull request.
Publisher
- Enter the reviewer, increment revision when correcting an existing item, and update
updated_at. - Choose published, or scheduled with a future
publish_at. - Wait for green checks, verify the intended status changes, merge to
main, and test synchronization on one phone.
Never place counseling records, private pastoral notes, congregant directories, or children’s personal information in app content.
